♡ so i just popped my bandcamp cherry ♡ (apart from the split EP with ickis and a track on the rand comp)
but it’s my first thing i’ve properly put out on my own. i feel like bandcamp is more legit or srs or something than the way i’ve just been sticking stuff on soundcloud for the past forever? i dunno. it feels sort of weird, because it feels no different really to when i just stick things onto soundcloud minutes after i finish making them up.
this is slightly different, though. for one, rather than just being a big jumble on soundcloud, they’re all ordered the way i’ve decided, on a page that looks how i want it to look. also, the recording process was definitely different to usual. i chose a popstar to use as inspiration, listened to a load of my favourite songs of theirs, then wrote and recorded a track and made a video for it all in the one day. (that goes for the first four songs, not the covers obv.)
it was a cool, fun and enjoyable process, and definitely had a bit of a laugh doin it.
and i’m rather proud of the britney cover. i hope some people like it,,,
