Just a quicky. As Grace says, we should do lots of little posts rather than feeling scared to post because it must be planned, and readable, and coherent. BAH! Who needs those things, when there are beautiful things we can look at without having to think about very much. Such a thing. Or… things… are these videos that I found today after checking up on netaporter. So, I get the gist that Stella McCartney has done a capsule collection ’specially for netaporter, and someone has made these lovely videos to show off the lovely ethereal clothes. Here, I found ‘em on youtube and invite you to have a looksee. Excuse the lack of sense in the formation of words and sentences in this. I have been studying Spanish, then Irish, and French in the past few hours and my brain is a bit mussed up. Yeyuhh, and I can’t be bothered to even read over this and fix the nonsensical-ness. I can talk the way I wanna talk, hey!

According to medicinenet.com, Influenza symptoms include fever, respiratory problems, headache, muscle ache, fatigue, and sometimes nausea. Check, check, check, sextuple check! So, while I was wary of saying it, because of often giving out about people throwing the term around willy-nilly, I think, on my fifth day in bed, I’m gonna do it. I have the FLU!

I feel like doing a clothes-related post. I feel like I haven’t shopped properly in ages, and there are some things I am really wanting. REAAALLLY wanting. I’ve been salivating over  netaporter.com, which has a sale and is amazingly good value, almost the same type of prices for some things as on Asos, which I had a look at. Wasn’t that impressed, however. But the Topshop website has got me aching to go on a shopping spree. Lately I’ve been really stressed and tired all the time, leaving me really un-bothered about dressing interestingly. I also feel much more self concious about my body than I have in a long time. It’s like the more unhappy I get with myself, the unhappier I get, the more I eat, the fatter I get, the more I eat… etc etc. So I’ve been dressing in a really boring way, just jeans and t shirts mostly, and loadsa black.
BUT NOW! I’ve gotten this surge of motivation to go buy, and I feel for the first time in ages that not only do I feel like I need to get new stuff, but I know what I want, too. It’s fantastic, but also painful, because I’m not sure the next time I’ll get to go shopping.
Anyway, I think I’ll do up a few little outfits of things I WAAAAAANNNNNNTTTTTTT….

untitled1
All from Topshop, bar the t-shirt, which is American Apparel. I really want these jeans, maybe. I need to try the on, though, because I have made an image in my head of how they’d look on: all slouchy and ending a bit above my ankles. Maybe if I bought them too big… And I’m falling for fringe, too… I want a pair of fringed moccasins, what’s gotten into me? It’s so un-me. But with a pair of super skinny jeans they could look pretty hot…

Okay, that’s all I have time for, so I’ll get some more pictures up of things I want.

For my own benefit, of course, since hardly anyone reads this.

I’m back from Italy.

Well, I’ve been back for quite a while really. Got back on the 15th. Eek. Lack of posts. You (as in Grace) must be on the verge of death. How could you survive without me? (heavvy heavy sarcasm.)

Anywhoo, I’ve been trying to gather and arrange and make sense of my trip. Blog coming soon with photos and memories all in diary format.

Might as well update that I’m going to Dublin on Saturday, and hope to get some flat black ankle boots for school. Also jodhpurs. Why don’t we have Gap here? I’d love the jodhpurs featured in British Vogue. Can’t find any pictures, but basically just… jodhpurs.

I have been away.

Far, far away in a wonderous place called Lahinch!

Every year I go to Lahinch to stay with friends and surf. While we usually go to the surf school, this year we decided that we had learn all we could from it, and decided to just surf with her dad’s board. Alas, the waves were pretty nonexistent, so we only went out twice. Once, on a messy icky day, and once on a glorious, glassy day! I was using the dad’s boards, mostly his 8′6″, but my favourite was his 10′00″. Wowow, it was amegamazing. I don’t want to boast, but.. oh well YES I DO! I was walking the board, on my first day on a longboard. So that’s it! From wanting to to buy a short 6′7″, I have been converted to having my heart set on a 9′00″. Woohoo!

On my way back home, I stopped in Galway to stay with Laura (click here for her music..!). She brought me to a gig in a bookshop called Bell Book and Candle, where I fell in love with three bands I had never heard of before. What is it about live music that makes it so amazing? They were: The Terribles (not at all Terrible!), So Cow (put on quite a show, geez was he sweating!) and Slo Mo Fireworks (they use the drum beats on one of those mini Casio keyboards, that every had when they were a kid!)

The next day I stumbled into Topshop, not expecting to find anything within my price range. But there, right in front of me, was a pile so big of clothes, all twinkling at me to touch, right under a big BUY ONE GET ONE FREE sign. *faints*. Yes, I was excited. I rifled through desperately, and what did I find, but a pair of high waisted shorts! I had previously classed them as faddy and that only trendsters would wear them, but they looked so good (helped muchly by the €15 price tag!) So I decided to try them on. I searched for my get one free.. and what did I find, but a really great woolen skirt that will last me all A/W! I tried them on, and… love!

I also bought a ruffly top for €3 in Penneys, which I love!

Why can’t I just be happy with my hair?

After having it cut quite short numerous times, I had decided to let it grow, all long and sunkissed and natural. But my mind has conflicting ideas. It keeps telling me that I want a short, Pixie cut, reminiscent of Edie Sedgwick, or more recently, Keira Knightley’s crop. Peroxide blonde is also a wanty, but I know it won’t happen. But wasn’t Marilyn Monroe’s hair so beautiful?

Yes, I have decided to go for it.

GO FOR IT!

Anyway, I have decided to just chop it all off.

I shall post many a photo here now showing some things I want.

Tell me which you think I should get, and would suit me(not too worried about that, stupidly..!)

What a spectacle!

Although Grace hates the idea of someone wearing glasses when it is not necessary, I desperately want some!

When my younger sister needed to get glasses at the age of three, I saw a pair of thick rimmed black glasses, and wanted them so! Mother said she would buy me clear glasses to encourage little sister to wear hers. I was delighted with myself! Unfortunately for me, there was no trouble from lil sis in wearing the spectacles, so I never got my glasses. But, ever since, I have wanted some.

I lusted after thick rimmed rectangular ones, until everyone decided to get them. Now, for the last while I have been wanting big, old style grandad ones.

If I was loooaddedd, I’d love a pair of the Cutler and Gross ones featured in the Feb ‘06 “Class of 2006″ shoot, like these, worn by Irina Zender, from the Ukraine

Gosh!

American Apparel? How come I haven’t been introduced sooner? From their provocotive almost-porn ad campaigns to their wonderfully simple but quirky clothes… I am SO glad that I stumbled across their site today.

I’m LOVING!

I heart muchly all the lamé. I have an idea for a dress is gold lamé. lamélamélamé!

Oh, and is it normal to find longjohns so wonderfull cool?

Here are some of the “rauchy” ads:

In continuance of my topshop “I LIKEY SANDALS” thing.. here are a

few of my views on Topshop.

I, personally love Topshop. Anything I buy there is unique when I come home to the remote west of Ireland. This is great. However, I am so AFRAID! that if I were to move back to a city that I would look cloney.. but the thing is.. I don’t dress all in Topshop, so I should be ok!

It’s a conundrum that muddles up my brain…!

Here are some great topshop buys! If you are from Britain, everything seems so cheap!

Irish.. add 50% on for the price in euro.. oh, and round UP.
